Business analyst

Business analysts are the ones who propose solutions to the organization to help the organization to satisfy need, solve problem and capitalize opportunities. Business analysts transform the organization from the current state to better state, in other words they take the organization to the next level and make the organization future proof. It is the responsibility of the business analysts to deliver requirements specification.

Systems analyst

System analysts come out with the technical specification based on the requirements specification. In other words, the technical specification is the mere derivative of the requirements specification. On the one hand requirements specifications are in plan English and in graphical form and on the other hand technical specifications will talk about the system which is capable of delivering the requirements specifications.

Project manager

Once the requirements specification and the matching technical specifications are ready the project manager can start the implementation. He is supported by a team of hardware and software professionals who will be creating the necessary physical product and software required to make a system functioning. So the real product is delivered by the project manager and his team.

Developer

Software developers write the programs in specific languages to transform the information from one form to the other. A software program can do a range of activities such as

  • Transforms the given information to another form of information and data
  • Uses the information as the input and activates certain physical devices
  • Uses the physical signals to give output as information
  • Receives physical input and performs some other physical activity
