Position Overview
Category Sourcing Lead manages end to end delivery of schemes within budget and time through active and effective engagement of inner and external stakeholders. The Category Sourcing Lead makes and apparatuses efficient sourcing and category management strategies. The Category Sourcing Lead will sustain the Sourcing and Category Management teams by including tactical sourcing creativities and will be anticipated to lead the end-to-end sourcing process for assigned plans, build relationships with suppliers and commercial stakeholders, and drive incremental value for the commercial.

Academic Qualification

University degree in Procurement or any connected field;
Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply- added advantage;
3+ years’ experience in Category Procurement/Commercial or related field in a busy international environment

Professional Experience

Emerging quality and active seller base to support effective and timely delivery of business necessities;
Receiving and rereading quotations, negotiating and closing indentures with the best suppliers where obligatory;
Supplier Association and Performance Management to ensure excellence, timely and cost effective distribution of projects.Timely dispensation of quality purchase orders in Oracle;
Review open acquisition orders with users and contractors for closure or receipt as applicable;
Regularly gets and reviews supplier statements to facilitate timely payment and resolution of overdue expenditures;
Keep track of supplier expenditures to ensure adherence to decided terms;
Keep record/file all acquisitions orders and correspondences.

Responsible for commercial partner performance evaluation and checking for category;
Support in managing the agreement execution
Manage commercial partner dispute resolutions
Give input to partner gratification survey process.

Competencies

Comply with the distinct Financial Delegation of Authority (FDOA) process;
Ensure obedience to competitive bidding process;
Close audit subjects relating to procurement procedure.

Travel Requirements: Category Sourcing Lead requires 30% of travel to its supplier locations.

Seniority Level: Assistant/ Associate/Lead

This position will be typically reporting to the Senior Category Lead of an organization.

Salary ranges liable on the experience and involvement. Typically, Materials Manager will be paid Rs. 5,50,000 – Rs. 9,50,000 Annually based on experience.
