Position Overview
Category Sourcing Manager progresses, proposes and gears strategic global and local category tactics that align with business strategies and aims. Achieve, and drive measurable improvement in the collection and development of dealers to optimize value in assigned classes with support of the Category Leader.

Academic Qualification

  • Experience in a procurement role representative strong technical and analytical skills
  • BS in Business, Finance or Supply Chain. MBA Favoured.
  • P.M. or equivalent expert certification preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Perform internal valuation of current and future needs, outside assessment of market movements and competitive dealers; develop financial replicas to measure and chances to leverage variations in specifications, developments, systems and goods
  • Work meticulously with Business Units Business Departments and Category Leader to create and implement the category sourcing strategy.
  • Select and exchange with suppliers; create and maintain pledged and business relations with the suppliers; interconnect with Business Units and Corporate Department influencers and operators on the selection
  • Execute, for the groups owned, the following procurement procedure steps: Needs/stipulations; category tactic development; supplier discussions; implementation; supplier growth; contract administration, quantity and checking.
  • Facilitate negotiations with cross-functional teams to safeguard that Business Units and Corporate Sections provide input and are signified in the execution of the plans for their category.

  • Convey terms and conditions with key global and local suppliers for medium to large dollar agreements to ensure best price competitiveness and service levels are maintained.
  • With Legal, accomplish the contract review process and guarantee company risk is minimized.

Travel Requirements: Category Sourcing Manager requires 30% of travel to its supplier locations.

Salary ranges liable on the experience and involvement. Typically, Materials Manager will be paid Rs. 5,50,000 – Rs. 8,50,000 Annually based on experience.
