Position Overview
Internal Buyer builds associations with suppliers and negotiates with them for the best pricing. Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at suitable levels. Arrange passage of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery. Working very closely with dealers helps to ensure the right products are selected to bring into the store. Because the needs of customers revolve over the year, the moment one epoch is concluded, you’ll have entirely different stock to pick from for the next, so there’s plenty of variety too to stay in business.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance
  • Master’s degree (Nice to have)

Professional Experience

  • Around 2 Years of experience in Procurement, Supply chain management
  • Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office software (Mandatory)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Raise and expedite purchase orders and ensure any purchase order invoice queries are resolved quickly.
  • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
  • Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while attempt to find new ones constantly.
  • Attending trade events and getting feedback from customers regularly.
  • Selecting new products and reviewing the old ones. Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
  • Reacting to any changes in customer demand and prepare reports and updates as and when required.
  • Look for market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
  • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.
  • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as and when required.
  • Assess qualities of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
  • Aiding to interpret reports and forecasting forthcoming trades and deals.

Travel Requirements: Internal Buyer requires 25 % of travel based on organization standard policies

Seniority Level: Entry Level

This position will be typically reporting to the Procurement Lead or Procurement Manager of an organization.

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Internal Buyer will be paid Rs. 2, 75,000 – Rs. 4, 00,000 annually.
