Job Description for Procurement Analyst

Position Overview:
Primary goal is to make the supply chain run effectively as well as profitably. When an organization need any products / services from a supplier, Procurement Analyst will look for the best deals and issue a detailed purchase order mentioning the price of the product and delivery timeline along with the payment terms. They will also be responsible for analysis on the cost & benefit to determine where it can be improved, special negotiation in contracts with existing vendors or negotiating terms & conditions with new suppliers.

Academic Qualification:
✓ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Business Management
✓ Master’s degree (Preferred)

Professional Experience:
✓ Experience with SAP Business Management software (Mandatory)
✓ Experience in Supply chain is a plus.
✓ Microsoft Office (Mandatory)

Professional Certifications:
✓ Chartered Institute of Procurement and supply – Level 4
✓ Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification

Roles and Responsibilities:
✓ Managing various procurement projects that include the areas of sourcing, contracting and category management.
✓ Understanding business needs to generate information, schedule, and deliveries at the right time.
✓ Taking care of the progress of the project periodically so as to report the same to higher officials.
✓ Manage team in purchasing related activities when needed.
✓ Working with internal groups to formulate negotiation plans.
✓ Developing innovative methods to review the process effectiveness and explore better logistics solution for suppliers.
✓ Recommending new ideas on all procurement related issues, plans, reports, trainings, and metrics.
✓ Evaluating supplier operations according to the company standards.
✓ Negotiate prices when needed.
✓ Managing changes in the order.
✓ Training new hires.
✓ Timely and accurate entry of daily order status.

Travel Requirements: Procurement Analysts requires 20% of travel to its supplier locations.

Seniority Level: Associate

This position will be typically reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager of an organization.

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Procurement Analyst will be paid Rs. 5,00,000 – Rs. 7,50,000 Annually.
