Position Overview
Materials director provide management, and oversee the Purchasing Department, while preserving an effective and well-organized supply chain. This job role is accountable for the overall supply chain, procurement, attainment and distribution of materials, apparatus and services, by preserving the supply inventory in a cost saving and timely method for the organisation’s central source area, as well as the operating room services.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Production/Operations Management, or Engineering or equivalent business involvement.

Professional Experience

Progressive knowledge in Purchasing & Tracking with extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, if possible in a strategic setting in a large size organization.
Good understanding of wrapping components and accompanying commodities.
Solid path record meeting substantial physical cost reduction goals.
Strong computer skills, preferably with experience using Windows-based PC packages.
Capability in organising multiple group efforts within the corporation to achieve objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication aids.
Excellent administrative and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle numerous tasks, with mindfulness of deadlines.
Ability to identify procedures needing improvement, and to endorse improvements.

Developed group policies and category planned plans, with inventiveness plans, for locally achieved categories.
Accompanying strategic obtaining creativities, including fact based debates for all locally accomplished categories within the local nation collection and ensuring process agreement and high levels of client gratification.
Supporting global planned sourcing initiatives or projects (including category strategy definition) as authorized by the Global Group Manager

Competencies

Coordinate the calibration of supplies and equipment within the society and coordinate the resolution of apparatus and supply quality and service glitches with vendors
Give thought to environmental concerns in the selection of supplies and apparatus
Maintain a specialized environment in interactions with sellers
Responsible for collection of suppliers giving consideration to quality of service and cost to the organisation
Coordinate the understanding process for invoices with the Accounts Payable department when value and amounts do not agree with the acquisition order orient new guidance team members on purchasing strategies and practices assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital finances; operates each function within the approved budget

Travel Requirements: Materials director requires 20% of travel to its supplier locations.

Seniority Level: Associate

This position will be typically reporting to the CEO of an organization.

Salary ranges liable on the experience and involvement. Typically, Materials Manager will be paid Rs. 5,00,000 – Rs. 8,50,000 Annually based on experience.
