Materials Management Officer

Position Overview
This post will be accountable for maintaining material specifications/program on transportation systems and ground system programs. The officer will be the focal feature for all material request/conditions, and needs a daily interface including the following sections; Estimating, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Preparation, Subcontracts / Scheduling, Field positions, Production as well as suppliers to guarantee all stock is available on time and within estimates.

Academic Qualification

  • bachelor degree in business, materials management or related 4-year degree 
  • Master's in materials management 

Professional Experience 

  • 4-year period with industry or supply chain centre is a plus
  • 7-10 years of expertise in production or a similar background
  • 6-10 years of expertise in SAP and MRP

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Generate, coordinate, and execute production measures to evaluate organizational productivity.
  • Organize study designs and procedures to be employed in complex investigations and audits.
  • Following some guidance, plans, announcements and updates of new project materials approach
  • Administers commercialization (transition) elements plan).
  • Actively negotiates and partners with excellence and communications teams to determine supplier quality issues for assigned product groups.
  • Support in solving day-to-day operational difficulties, as well as long-term resolve planning. 
  • Accountable for examining incapability, making suggestions and implementing modifications, in processes, methods, or practices.
  • Analyses data and details resolutions within the project 
  • Examines and assesses the effectiveness of services in reaching stabilised goals and intentions.
  • Implements technical support in understanding and developing administration purposes and controls for resolution of problems and concerns.
  • Reports findings of investigations and prepares proposals for implementation of different systems, methods, or changes.

Travel Requirements: This position requires 15% of travel.
