Position Overview
Primary goal of Procurement Director in an organization is to create a strategic approach to the commercial procurement and material management process for the buying of direct and indirect goods and services. Cultivate, transfer and direct procurement teams performance ,development plans and appraisals. Maintaining the internal and external regulation policies with proper compliances. Excellent analytical thinker flexible enough to grow business needs with highly positive assertiveness. Managing the procurement process from the beginning till closure and in the due course providing adequate support from project bidding , negotiating , legal terms with supplier / vendors over excellent decision making skills.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Business Management
  • Master’s degree (Preferred)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (Added Advantage)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 12 - 15 years of managerial experience
  • Implementation in Supply chain management.
  • Microsoft Office with Project Management

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead overall team to improve and execute long term procurement strategies for spend categories under control with progressive familiarity of procurement codes, concepts, procedures innovatively while building executive level customer-supplier relationships.
  • Establish performance standards and guesstimate processes to measure and report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, customer satisfaction, value and cost.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, and Program Management to procure 3rd Party IP and EDA Tools which balance the engineering needs within financial constraints.
  • Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement to encourage innovative.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to provide strategic insights on business needs, resolve complex issues and deliver high performance cost, service and quality outcomes.
  • Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on organisational objectives while encouraging opportunity.
  • Lead the research and analysis of market trends and best practice to ensure sourcing and procurement strategies and approaches are current, risks are identified and governance frameworks are effective, and insight is gained through the analysis of costs, benefits and supply markets.
  • Provide leadership, direction and effective management of the procurement team and cross-functional, working groups to achieve a high-level of performance in procurement and deliver high quality advice, and service to stakeholders.

Travel Requirements: Procurement Director generally travel on need basis to client location predominantly to expand Business geographically

Seniority Level: Director

This position will be typically reporting to the CEO / CFO of an organization.

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Procurement Director will be paid Rs. 32.50, 000– Rs. 56,50,000 Annually.
