Alamo Colleges District has their own inspirational impact on society. Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program

Overview:

Logistics is the movement of supplies, material, and people from one place to another to satisfy a corporate and consumer requirement. It includes inventory management, quality control, purchasing, operations management, and much more. All businesses rely on logistics professionals to keep their inventory moving. Logistics and Supply Chain Management is one of the 50 fastest growing career fields, according to the U.S. News and World Report.

The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program is designed to prepare students for management careers in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, purchasing, and international logistics. Students will study logistics principles and practices involved in procurement, transportation, storage, and third-party provision as they apply to solving management problems in movement, storage, control, and information flow. The program includes an internship at an approved logistics management work site. The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program will graduate students with the managerial skills and competencies required for jobs in logistics, materials management, distribution, and transportation.
