Position Overview
We need a hard-working Vendor Manager for our company in making right purchasing decisions. Roles include supervising vendors to make sure about the compliance with company policies, company meetings attendance, and explaining new vendors of their responsibilities. You also need to cancel vendor contracts if company vendors fail to perform adequately.

Vendor Manager should be detail-oriented and should be expert at negotiating vendor contracts. An outstanding Vendor Manager needed to multitask effectively as well as demonstrate special analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Academic Qualification

  • Any Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

Professional Experience

  • Proven experience as a Vendor Manager.
  • A valid driver's license.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  • Meeting with suitable vendors to verify their products, enquire about their services, negotiate the pricing, and inform any product or service-related concerns.
  • Carrying out research on existing vendors to conclude which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
  • Continually monitoring sales trends to determine which products are more popular than others.
  • Executing vendor selection programs to make sure that the best vendors are secured.
  • Having interviews with new vendors and informing approved vendors about their various responsibilities and obligations.
  • Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Examining the current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.

Competencies

  • Proficient and excellence in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to travel for work.
  • The ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

The Salary depends on the experience. However, typically the average salary of a Vendor Manager is around Rs.5 lacs to Rs.7 lacs.
