Risk Management: CPA helps in identifying and managing risks associated with project scheduling. By identifying the critical path and activities with zero float, project managers can proactively mitigate risks and take necessary actions to keep the project on track.

Baseline for Project Monitoring: CPA provides a baseline schedule against which the actual project progress can be monitored.
