• Sales and marketing of the toys to the toys distributors located on the various parts of the country – preformed by the sales department
• Ensuring proper accounting, Profit and Loss Statement preparation etc. – done by the accounts and finance department
• Deploying the proper skill set for all the departments including their pay, perks, incentives etc. – taken care by human resources department

The development activities of Toys123 are as below:

• Continuously measuring and improving the product as per customer expectations
• Market intelligence related to where the toys industry is heading
• Analyzing how to take the operations of the organization to the next level

All these activities are performed by the three business analysts. You can see none of their activities are very important for the daily running of the organization, but it is very essential for the sustainability and growth of the organization. Absence of these business analysts will not create any problem for Toys123 today, but the survival of the company will become a question in the time to come.

In summary, the role of the operational people is to run the organization on daily basis to deliver the goods and services to the customer. On the other hand, the role of the development people is to take the organization to the next level, which is performed by the business analysts.
