Position Overview
Hybrid Buyers adopt a pick-and-choose approach to procurement, with a central leadership structure supported by confined managers with some grade of self-governance. Hybrid structure represents a combination of the centralized and the decentralized structure. The terms 'hybrid', 'pooling', and coordination', are used interchangeably. In general, centralised procurement function is better places to deal with areas such as policy, major contract negotiation, processes. Examination found centralised operating structures more effectively supported the generation of cost savings, alignment with stakeholder needs, functional efficiency, and innovation rates further. Hybrid procurement operating structures, which combine a central procurement base with distributed teams of buyers, are designed to strike a balance between global and local governance with a mixture of both technical and soft skills.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting , Commerce
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management (Added Advantage)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2 Years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Hands on experience in any Supply Chain Management
  • Microsoft Office software eloquence (Mandatory)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop cognizance of manufacturing processes and improve product information.
  • Revealing respectable interpersonal skills to get along through co-workers and the outside vendors.
  • Presenting estimable negotiating skills in order to get the superlative deals.
  • Representing a passion for the type of products being purchased and a willingness to continuously stay up-to-date on trends in that sector.                           
  • Productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials.
  • Work collaboratively and negotiate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives and advise of impact of change on purchasing and production activities.
  • Attending to detail to ensure specifications are being met and quality of purchases is up to standard and with regulatory compliances.   
  • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.

Travel Requirements: Hybrid Buyer requires 40% of travel

Seniority Level: Associate

This position will be typically reporting to the Procurement Manger of an organization.

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Hybrid Buyer will be paid Rs.4, 50,000 – Rs.6, 25,000 annually.
