Position Overview
InDirect Buyer predominately responsible for purchasing the sourcing of all goods and services for a business to enable it to maintain and develop its operations. The goods and services categorised under the canopy of indirect procurement are commonly bought for consumption through internal stakeholders (business units or functions) rather than the external customer or client. Indirect procurement Professionals does not actually have any mandate over internal stakeholder’s budgets. Employed with suppliers in order to encounter the tremendously complex and rigid specifications. Unceasingly appraises an assessment of all single and recurring acquisitions of Indirect in all locations.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management (Added Advantage)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2 Years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Hands on experience in any Supply Chain Management
  • Prior experience in Negotiation and Purchasing
  • Microsoft Office software eloquence (Mandatory)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plug-ins market trends, and investigates and endorses new product developments. Contributes in incessant enhancement exertions for products, tools and processes.
  • Independent problem solving and decision making with general direction given on project objectives and broad guidance from corporate strategy and goals.
  • Locates new sources of supply, and establishes new suppliers. Grows and sustains relationships with suppliers.
  • Accomplishes other duties as necessary in support of business objectives and ensures that facilities are in full compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Movements substantial leeway in determining specific project objectives and approaches to consignment.
  • Conclusions frequently comprise considerable impact and risk to the business with impending for long-lasting results.
  • Centrally stores all agreements, contracts, purchase orders, documents work closely with divisions such as HR or external providers to understand fair and reasonable hourly for specific position.
  • Establishes and performs an early warning method for the expiration of indirect (frame) contracts.
  • Preserves the databank for indirect purchase orders and delivers administrative provision to any indirect purchasing.
  • Provision with Supply Chain Manager on maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a consistent base.

Travel Requirements: InDirect Buyer requires 30% of travel

Seniority Level: Entry

This position will be typically reporting to the Procurement Lead / Procurement Manger of an organization.

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, InDirect Buyer will be paid Rs.2, 75,000 – Rs4, 50,000 annually.
