Job Description for Supply Chain Order Management Analyst I at Ashok Leyland

As part of Regional Fulfilment Operations- Backlog management the Order management Analyst role involves open order management, handling queries from sales/customer and ensuring all the orders are getting dropped to production on time. He/she needs to have a good knowledge on Order Management/Order Fulfilment process and interpersonal skill to interact with various supply chain functions to enable the shipment as per customers’ requirement. He/she needs to be flexible working with multifunctional environment. 

Order fulfillment of Enterprise customers – ensuring all the orders are shipped as per the customer requested date 
  • Resolving the customer queries related to their Sales orders 
  • Manage change requests and cancellations within 1 business day 
  • Understanding and resolving complex process issues and drop the orders into production 
  • E2E ownership of specific country/region and fulfilling their orders 
  • Effective backlog management 
  • Interact with other supply chain functions to provide the right solution to the customers 
  • Work cooperatively with Sales Operations to fulfill customers’ requirements 
  • Analyze the Open orders data and improve the order cycle time 
  • Participate actively in calls with clients and other supply chain stake holders 
  • Periodically review the process and remove the non-value-adds 
  • Effective root cause analysis to arrest the issues 
  • Adhering to audit compliance 
  • Meeting clients’ demands (Turnaround time & Accuracy levels) 
  • Develop and maintain the process documents (SOPs) 
  • Risk mitigation by raising early warning signal to the next level 
  • Effective escalation handling 
  • Active participation in Weekly/monthly process performance review with clients 
  • Initiate process improvement/reengineering projects to make the process more efficient/lean 
  • Work with business on business-driven projects and provide solutions to process issues

Job Description for Supply Chain Analyst at Ashok Leyland 

  • Procurement of service parts from external Global Suppliers, Ford plants and catering to the dealers. 
  • Schedule release on suppliers, follow-up with suppliers for delivery promise. 
  • Liaise with the transporter and traffic team for shipment delays. 
  • Follow up with QC team, Depot and Contract Packers for prioritization of receipts or any shipment discrepancies. 
  • Follow-up with Purchase for resolving purchase related issues. This could be price revision request from suppliers, tool breakdown, supplier bankruptcy, resourcing. 
  • Responding to Customer Liaison, High-level Helpdesk and Golden Service about part availability date. 
  • Coordinate with Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchase and supplier during engineering level changes. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers and campaign coordinators for procuring parts from supplier to meet campaign requirements. 
  • Educate the suppliers on importance of Q1 rating and try to improve their delivery performance. 
  • Take premium freight decisions based on part criticality. 
  • Responding to queries from Supplier, Purchase, Inventory, Central Forecasting and Supply chain management team. 
  • Work in conjunction with suppliers to secure on time delivery and improve other processes to support increased supplier delivery performance ratings.
