A Head of procurement officer is the executive of a corporation who is responsible for the management, administration, and supervision of the company's acquisition programs. They are in charge of the contracting services and manage the purchase of supplies, equipment, and materials. Their responsibility is to source goods and services and to negotiate prices and contracts.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Professional Experience
- At least 10 years of senior supply management experience
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Professional Certifications
- Certified Inventory Optimisation Professional (CIOP)
- Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply (Level-5)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Travel Requirements: Agent requires 20% of travel to its contractor locations.

This position will be typically reporting to the Supply Chain Operations Head.
Salary ranges liable on the experience. Typically, Head of Procurement Operations will be paid ₹3,250,000 – ₹5,650,000 Annually.
