Position Overview
Major objective of Procurement Officer in an organization is for evaluation suppliers, products and services, Contract negotiation and ensuring the approved purchases for the organization is very much cost efficient and with primary quality. Ensuring the procurement procedures are properly followed and maintaining the current updated list of inventory stocks and taking ownership for all the approved purchases for the organization. Functioning as procurement officer pacts with numerous onuses which are meticulously allied with organization success.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, Business Administration, Accounting
- Master’s degree - (Not Mandatory but good to have)
Professional Experience
- Around 2 years of experience as Procurement Officer
- Microsoft Office along with any purchasing software (Mandatory)
Professional Certifications
- Certified Inventory Optimisation Professional (CIOP)
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply (Level-4)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervising workforces on all happenings of purchasing division.
- Estimate and establish cost factors and budgets for procurements.
- Spot on professional verdicts in a fast stridden working atmosphere.
- Develop and preserve respectable relationships with vendors/suppliers.
- Organizing plans for the purchase of tools, facilities, and materials.
- Make sure that the deliverables and supplies are in extraordinary eminence.
- Analysing all vendors/suppliers, stock, and bill possibilities.
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development, Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
- Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges.
- Examining and assessing prospective suppliers on regular basis.
- Cultivate plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies as and when need arise and highly involve in stock forecasting for the organization.
- Reviewing, relating, investigating and approving the products & services to be acquired by the organisation.
- Succeeding and enforcing procurement policies & procedures with proper approved guidelines.
- Maintaining MIS (Management information System) and providing valid input for daily status reporting.

Travel Requirements: Procurement Officer generally travel around 25% to the supplier location

This position will be typically reporting to the General Manager & Finance manager of an organization.
Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Procurement Officer will be paid Rs. 2, 50,000 Rs. 4, 00,000 Annually.
