Position Overview
Sourcing Advisor are experts who help make the sourcing process of a company or institution more efficient. They do this through building relationships with suppliers, negotiating cost and developing agreements that ultimately help a company grow and become more profitable.

The Sourcing advisors play a third-party role, advising and consulting their company, making recommendations to upper-level staff members. They can work in a wide variety of industries and settings.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree- Supply Chain Management

Professional Experience

Minimum 4 years sourcing or supply chain experience

Roles and Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners in order to foster early involvement in projects and overall, better value-based business decisions for the bank.
Act as a trusted advisor by informing the business of market trends, spend reporting related to their business strategy and direction.
Participates in business stakeholder weekly meetings to hear of upcoming projects Sourcing could positively impact.
Create and execute against annual strategic plans in order to allocate resources for upcoming projects, show spend analysis, and meet cost savings targets.
Provide analysis of benchmark data and make recommendations to business stakeholders in order to drive targeted negotiations and negotiate key commercial terms.
Participate in team meetings, training and special projects as assigned by management.
Routinely make decisions on business requirements, framework for preparation of competitive events, selection of market intelligence, and define best price targets and/or models to use. Decisions include how to best structure contracts, software and professional service delivery models, commercial term standard to follow.
Decides best negotiation strategy and makes recommendations to the business. Decisions include prioritizing terms and acceptable positions for each area as part of the negotiation trade-offs/concessions.

Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer service mindset
Strong understanding of Technology and/or Professional Services categories a plus
Possess knowledge related to industry category trends a plus
Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial points of projects a plus
Wide experience in providing strategic sourcing services
Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing practices
Panoptic knowledge of Access and SQL technologies
Familiarity with sourcing and procurement procedures

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, the average salary for a Sourcing Advisor in India is around Rs.13 lakhs to Rs.15 lakhs annually.
