Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program
Overview:
Logistics and supply chain management encompasses all of the activities involved in getting a product to the consumer. The field is so broad that virtually any business could be a potential employer. You will remain current on industry trends because we've developed the curriculum with input from:
- The Dallas/Fort Worth Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals
- The North Texas Commission's Logistics Development and Marketing Committee
- An advisory board of 20 senior logistics executives

Course Details:
The Logistics and Supply Chain Management major requires 21 credit hours of business foundation courses, 24 credit hours of logistics and operations coursework (including the capstone course) and 9 credit hours of logistics electives. Logistics courses examine:
- Advanced logistics problems
- Analysis
- Business transportation
- Critical problem solving
- Global logistics management
- Strategic marketing channels
The coursework is generally conceptual in nature with analysis and numerical problem-solving courses toward the end of the program. In addition, you're required to participate in a 240-hour paid internship after completing two core courses. Paid internships are available from local firms with extensive focus on logistics and supply chain processes.
