The city of North Bay is located in the north-eastern part of Ontario province. It takes its name from its position on the shore of Lake Nipissing. It is a major transportation centre for Northern Ontario and is the southern terminus of the Ontario Northland Railway. The summers in this city are long, comfortable and partly cloudy and the winters are freezing, snowy, and overcast. Some of the attractions in this city are Lake Nipissing – a large lake with boating and fishing activities, Laurentian Ski Hill – an urban skiing and snowboarding spot with a café, North Bay Museum – a place having regional history exhibits and offering guided tours and Laurier Woods Conservation Area – an outdoor recreation spot.
Canadore College founded in 1967 as a campus of Cambrian College, became an independent institution in 1972. It has four campuses in North Bay city and one in Parry Sound city in the same province. It has strength of 3500 students in its full-time courses. This college offers around 65 full-time post-secondary programs. Part-time programs in around 15 disciplines are offered in the classroom and/or online mode.
The Supply Chain Administration Graduate Certificate course is a part-time course which is offered online and is of 14 weeks duration.
