The city of New Westminster is located in the Lower Mainland region of the British Columbia province in Canada and is a member municipality of Metro Vancouver. It is on the banks of the Fraser river and roughly at the centre of the Greater Vancouver Region. Coquitlam is another city located in the Lower Mainland region of the British Columbia province in Canada and one of the 21 municipalities comprising Metro Vancouver. Some of the attractions in this city are Buntzen Lake, Rocky Point Park and Minnekhada Regional Park.

Douglas College is the largest public degree granting college in British Columbia province of Canada. It has been named after Sir James Douglas, Governor of Vancouver Island and British Columbia. It has a strength of 17000 full time students, 8500 continuing education students and around 4200 international students. This institution offers classes out of its two campuses located at New Westminster and Coquitlam.

The Post-Baccalaurate Diploma in International Supply Chain Management offered by the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration of this college is a two year course, offered in both full-time and part-time mode. It enables the students learn about importing and exporting, market research to develop market entry strategies, supply chain management, managing in international environments, legal and financial aspects of international trade business. Some of the subjects taught in this course are
Management Essentials, Global Trade Finance, Business Entry Strategies, Global Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning and Systems Analysis & Design.

An additional benefit of selecting this course is that students automatically get enrolled in the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) Diploma in International Trade program. Once students gain a year work experience in International Trade, they can apply for the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.
