  • Supply chain finance partner role 
  • Lead finance and controllership efforts for inventory management across India and drive process improvements 
  • Month-end provisioning for expiries, damages and losses 
  • Coordinating with Procurement team for returning short expiry and slow/non-moving inventory back to suppliers 
  • Ensure adequate insurance for stocks and following up for claims in case of any damaged / lost stocks 
  • Ensure optimum inventory levels at regional warehouses, small warehouses and stores 
  • Coordinate with operations teams to set processes for Returns from customers, Returns to suppliers, inventory destruction, scrap handling, Inter-Warehouse movements, Warehouse Store movements etc. 
  • Support Head Finance Supply Chain on central analytics and special projects 

Job Description for Manager – Reverse Logistics Role at Reliance Retail

  • Develop good understanding of end-to-end business cycle not only SCM but business as a whole and understand key areas of performance and business requirements. 
  • Work with SCM team on identifying key KPIs of their area of work and link them with business objectives. 
  • Identify power users within various functions within SCM and train them on processes and monitoring methodology. 
  • Convert all the Key KPIs (function wise, role wise) and find out mechanism to quantify them. 
  • Develop end to end performance matrices and to identify pain areas. 
  • Work closely with IT and Processes teams to convert these measurable KPIs into graphical form and mechanism to monitor and report immediately. 
  • Develop various escalation matrices and mechanism to escalate it with predefined time limits to ensure no interruption in any of the business processes of SCM. 
  • Identify core problems and initiate / develop long term solutions 
  • Develop Daily, Weekly and monthly reports to take proactive action on any anticipated problem. 
  • Key success factors are, how fast problem areas are identified (pro actively) and ensure action on the same. 
  • Should be able to manage customer escalations, inventory liquidation post returns, Drive closures of pending returns from customers, reducing loss provisions.

  • Create business strategy - product and pricing strategy 
  • Work on Buy plan\\OTB plans based on business projections 
  • Analyzes actual sales to plan, to monitor progress of product line across stores and establish current and future trends 
  • Assign base stock, category-wise for each store, based on past trends and ensure each category is adequately represented at each store at all times 
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
