Based on the type of parking, the industry is classified into various types such as municipal parking, office parking, university parking, retails parking, residential parking, airport parking and garages, events and venues parking, healthcare parking, and hospitality parking. This industry charges fee from the customer according to the time period and vehicle type. Majorly, the industry has a legal agreement with respective venues in order to provide parking facilities. Also, the industry needs to seek permission form government and respective premises owner in order to implement the parking facilities. After parking the vehicle, the customer will receive the bill of receipt, where it includes date, time, vehicle time and registration number. The customer needs to hand over the receipt back while getting back from slots. The additional charges may also apply, if the customer failed to take the vehicle on time. During this entire period, the parking in-charge are in responsible for the vehicles that parked.
