The Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) of Mexico, Statistics Canada, and the United States Office of Management and Budget, through its Economic Classification Policy Committee, have jointly developed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 2017. Normally a country’s economy is divided into Primary, Secondary and Tertiary sectors. But to make it precise and to add more details with the growth and diversity of the economic activities. NAICS, 2017 is the solution to address this complication and to provide clarity to all the stakeholders involved such as government policy analysts, academics, researchers, business community and the general public. NAICS, 2017 provides a framework for the collection and analysis of industrial information.
