Position Overview
Direct Buyer predominately responsible for purchasing direct Material for advanced projects, new projects and running production projects of supply Chain Management. Liability to buy all localized parts as well as to challenge existing magnitude or tooling setup for material. Purchases are largely made in enormous quantities, acquired from a group of suppliers at the best possible cost, quality and reliability. Negotiating with suppliers and constructing long term dealings, liaising with planning and production staff for forecasting purposes. Direct Buyers are primarily responsible for the planning, selecting and buying of merchandise for retail establishments. Highly skilled direct buyer often possesses strong industry knowledge with the ability to forecast market trends and perform consumer research.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management (Added Advantage)
Professional Experience
- Minimum 2 Years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Hands on experience in any Supply Chain Management
- Microsoft Office software eloquence (Mandatory)
Professional Certifications
- Certified Inventory Optimisation Professional (CIOP)
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply (Level-4)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Confirming all resources are procured on stint to requirement and at the best price obtainable.
- Launch reliable lines of dealings with field management squad to certify that all field purchase instructions are accurate.
- Acquires raw materials, components, tooling, provisions and capital apparatus when necessary based on previously resolute schedules or afresh created target dates.
- Keep Manager conversant of market changes and large purchases and other issues.
- Periodical requisitions with internal users and deliberate with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price availability and delivery schedule.
- Provide a weekly purchase order shot to management that designates the vendor invoice number for all closed purchase orders.
- Visits supplier base to investigate potential suppliers and conduct negotiations, certification audits, and quality quarantine audits

Travel Requirements: Direct Buyer requires 45% of travel
Seniority Level: Entry
This position will be typically reporting to the Procurement Lead / Procurement Manger of an organization.
Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Direct Buyer will be paid Rs.3, 50,000 – Rs.5, 25,000 annually.
