Position Overview
The Head of Procurement is accountable for developing a strategic approach to the corporate obtaining and material organization process for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and facilities. In this leadership role, the positive candidate will direct the procurement of properties and services for the customer; assist Procurement team members and contemporaries with procurement procedures, change and updates other procurement-related actions; develop and/or update procurement strategies and procedures; and develop a centralized procurement package that will add value and competence to the association. Your team will have tactical responsibility for the growth and application of policies, procedures and systems that support the company’s achievement and materials administration of goods and services – for resale, client integration and interior use.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field
- 7-10 years of related experience, with at least 3 years of managerial experience
Professional Experience
- Develop and connect a procurement business plan
- Develop, communicate and manage procurement team performance and growth plans and assessments.
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement related queries, training, policy and procedure clarification and alignment by all sections.
- Oversee contract development and management.
- Manage current procurement strategies, procedures and programs with a focus on their aptitude to enhance administrative value and efficiency; meet regularly with own departments regarding procurement for their accepting and/or recommendations to enhance rules, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, events and programs as needed.
Professional Certifications
- Certified Inventory Optimisation Professional (CIOP)
- Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply (Level-6)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Making a talent administration process in coordination with HR to ensure that the right possessions are in place
- Managing the skills and capability development of procurement staff, including training development and information management capabilities
- Leadership of cross-functional teaming crossways other business purposes and creativities
Competencies
- Strong management skills
- Team player at executive levels to cooperate with business units and functional partners like IT, investment, HR, legal, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and even better attending skills that lets the CPO to get and to comprehend the company beliefs and how to best communicate procurement’s worth to it
Travel Requirements: Head of Procurement requires 20% of travel to its dealer locations.
Seniority Level: Head/Director
This position will be typically reporting to the Director of the company.
Salary ranges liable on the experience and involvement. Typically Purchasing Assistant will be paid Rs. 6,00,000 – Rs. 8,00,000 Annually based on experience.
