Position Overview
In-house Buyer plays a vivacious character in an organization whenever procurement is not conferred outwardly. In-house buyers predominantly build connotations with suppliers and negotiates best price. In-house generally refers to conducting an activity or operation within a company, instead of relying on external outsourcing. Movements performed within the same business, using the corporation’s assets and employees to perform those activities. Determination as to whether to keep activities in-house or to outsource often includes scrutinising the several expenditures and allied risks.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Commerce
- Master’s degree (Nice to have)
Professional Experience
- Around 2 Years of experience in Procurement, Supply chain management
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office software (Mandatory)
Professional Certifications
- Certified Inventory Optimisation Professional (CIOP)
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply (Level-4)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Exploration on suppliers to determine which appropriates company pricing and quality objectives.
- Responding to some fluctuations in customer demand and organize reports and updates as and when required for team management.
- Cultivate an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
- Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager with scripting purchase orders, purchasing merchandise, retaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a consistent basis.
- Reviewing requisitions in Marketplace and providing effective business advice to the campus.
- Promptly reports about the dented or perished stock to the dealer and arranges for replacement either through the same vendor or by acquiring from different vendor to meet consumption requirements.
- Discover substitute sources for goods and materials recurrently.
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while endeavour to find new ones continuously.

Travel Requirements: In-House Buyer requires 25 % of travel based on organization standard policies.
Seniority Level: Entry Level
This position will be typically reporting to the Procurement Lead of an organization.
Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, In-house Buyer will be paid Rs. 2, 40,000 – Rs. 3, 25,000 annually.
