Position Overview
The pricing analyst assists many teams, contributing insight and information which allows them to best serve our customers. He is also liable for determining terms, conditions and prices for new and existing customers to ensure the profitability of records by examining rate requests to formulate new customer charges or improve existing customer tariffs within established company profit boundaries.

Academic Qualification

Post-secondary degree in business or related field, university preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Professional Experience

Minimum 5 years in the related Sales team, Contracts teams, Sales Transactions, Pricing and/or Finance required, ideally supporting high-tech sales teams.
2 - 3 years of experience in transfer pricing with retail business preferably FMCG.

Roles and Responsibilities

Your primary work will be in Researching and analysing information
Collect and evaluate rate requests from account managers; accept or decline based on profit margin and authenticated protocols
Awareness and previous use of Salesforce is a plus, CRM or other quoting software
Readiness and the capability to learn new skills, e.g. learning to operate and use multiple databases and investigating tax guidelines.
Respond to requests for analyses of pricing discrepancies
Develop reports on Surcharge analysis for Manager of Pricing, Invoicing and Business Analysis
Support in developing particular strategies for recognising ideal goods offering, pricing and border maximization
Obtain, interpret, and compare data from a variety of sources to create reporting and draw viable/actionable business conclusions

Competencies

A high level of enthusiasm and energy
Understanding of Business Intelligence technology is an added advantage.
Analytical skills using data-based statistical concepts.
Effective organisation and client service focus; contact building, consultation and conflict resolution jobs.
