Industry Process:
The industry operation begins with selection of site, where the peanuts are usually grown in well drained sandy loam soils and with a moderate climatic condition. The seeds are been cultivated and after planting, the peanut crops should be taken care by providing irrigation, pesticides, and other nutrients in a regular manner. The crop takes 120-160 days to attain maturity stage, where the harvesting process is performed either manually or by automatic machines. The harvested peanuts are undergone for sorting process in order to segregate according to its standard and quality. After postharvest activities, the peanuts are allowed for sales and distribution.
