Position Overview
Technical Buyer purchase goods, materials and services to make sure that the company operational needs are met primarily with pricing, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. Additionally tasked with screening and evaluating a supplier to choose the best materials, products, or services for their business, often to enhance customer satisfaction. Often working for retail or wholesale companies, technical buyers decide which products go on shelves or into online catalogues. Gathering Information and communicating with Supervisors, Aristocrats, or Minions Interacting with Persons outside Organization through suitable conduit and maintaining excellent relationship.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance
  • Master’s degree (Nice to have)

Professional Experience

  • At least one Years of experience in Procurement, Supply chain management
  • Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office software (Mandatory)
  • Familiarity with any integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be valuable

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Creates, maintains and applies internal and external dealings associate to business.
  • Evaluate and monitor deals to be sure that vendors and supplies fulfil with the terms and conditions of the contract and to regulate the need for changes.
  • In charge for a specific project or grasp a larger remit in terms of purchasing,
  •  having more technical knowledge, expertise and understanding.
  • Nurture and accelerate purchase orders and ensure any purchase order invoice queries are resolved quickly.
  • Prepares and carries out negotiations tailored to the negotiation partner as well as to the position.
  • Acts according to the state and applies different negotiation strategies, working methodically with the development of the negotiation results.
  • Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required.
  • Maintain and review records of substances accepted, charges, distributions, product performance, and catalogues.
  • Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices.
  • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact.

Travel Requirements: Technical Buyer requires 30 % of travel based on organization standard policies.

Seniority Level: Entry Level

This position will be typically reporting to the Procurement Lead or Procurement Manager of an organization.

Salary ranges depending on the experience. Typically, Technical Buyer will be paid Rs. 3, 00,000 – Rs. 4, 50,000 annually.
