  •  Based upon the average life expectancy of the system, if the equipment has enough service years remaining to justify the repair.
  •  When repair costs are reasonable i.e., if it’s less than 50% of the cost of a new appliance.
  •  If the system has been reliable, and has operated without failure.  
Garden equipment maintenance:
  1. Lawn mower:
The first step to monitor the oil level. Always use a wire brush to scrap grass clippings in undercarriage. Change the spark plug and air filter every year. Also, the blade need to be sharpened regularly.  
  1. Pumps:  
It's a highly essential equipment used to lift the underground water or  suck water from sumps in order to water the plants in the garden. Thus it's very much essential to maintain the pump-motor system to ensure that enough water is available to water plants. Maintenance of pumps include the following:
  • Timely evaluation of various parts of the pump-motor system which includes impellerblades, seals, bearings, valves, volute, motor coils, brushes etc… 
  • Proper cavitation must be done before starting the pump for efficient operation or else there may be wastage of power without the desired output.
House equipment maintenance:
  • Refrigerator:
It’s important to clean the all the parts in the system and remove the dust accumulated regularly. Don’t over load your refrigerator with food items like fruits/ veggies and also remove the expired item in every day.
  • Washing machine:
It is only capable of washing smaller loads. Larger loads can ultimate failure of the machine. Avoid washing the rubber mats and huge carpet using washing machine. After washing keep the door open for moisturisation and evaporation.  
  • Microwave:
Don’t put any metal utensil not even a metal trim inside the microwave. Never heat any sealed food container and or packed food or liquid refreshment item.
