This Industry comprises establishments known as Dialysis Centre primarily engaged in providing patient care under supervision of healthcare professional or under trained technician. The purpose of Dialysis centre is to purify or remove the waste product from the blood stream in an artificial manner by using of high end technological equipment with an insertion of Catheters (which are used to access the blood stream)
There are 3 major types of dialysis which will be performed in Dialysis centres. (A) Haemodialysis – End stage renal failure where instead of filtration done be kidney, the artificial procedure is carried for 3 to 4 hours, it can be done in Dialysis centre or at Home. (B) Peritoneal dialysis – by using dialysis solution both soluble substance and water content are removed by transfer via peritoneum; this can be done by patient itself many times a day. (C) Nocturnal dialysis – 6 to 8 hour procedure normally done during sleep in a Dialysis centre
The primary reason for Kidney disorders are, Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart disease, Obesity and Glomerulonephritis (illness which affects both the kidneys due to inflammation of Glomeruli i.e.., a filtering Unit in kidney).
