Production Process

Harvesting and Delivering
Some of the manufactures cultivate the sugar beet on their own, while others purchase the raw material from the agriculture in huge. Cultivation and harvesting are the first step involved in this process. Sugar beet is been harvested under low climatic conditions, so majorly it’s founded in cooler region. While transporting the raw material, sugar content loss may occur to avoid this most of the factory is located near the harvesting area.

Washing and Peeling
Washing and peeling is the first and firm most step involved in the factory to avoid the dust particles in it and then peeling process is been done to remove the skin from the sugar beet. These processes are done by Root vegetable washer and peeler machine.

Slicing
Due to sugar content spread out, the beet is been sliced as strips using directional vegetable cutting machine. Materials are been used to move from one unit to another with the help of belt conveyor.

Juicing and Purifying
Sliced beet strips are conveyed to screw juice extractor machine for crushing purpose. Then the crushed strips are dissolved in the water to extract the sugar content from the beet. During the juicing process, the beet pulp and wastage are been removed automatically. Due to impurities present in the beet juice, low temperature phosphorous floatation and carbonation process is been done to purify it.

Evaporation and crystallization
The purified juice contains 80% water which need to be evaporated, so evaporation process is done in fast boiling method. After evaporation, the beet juice is converted into beet syrup, but still 60% of water contain in it. Boiling and filtering the syrup is been done to remove the remaining impurities from the sugar. Then by adding a mixture of milled sugar powder and isopropyl alcohol in a vacuum pan until the syrup begins to form as crystal.

Drying
The moisture that present in the crystal is removed through centrifugal dewatering machine. This machine removes the moisture and dry the crystals into pure solid state.

Packing
Finally, the sugar is  packed into bags and special package after filtering, grading and weighting is been done.
