The steps for manufacturing Fiber optic cable are:

Step 1: Glass rod manufacturing
The first step is to manufacture glass optical fibers is to make a solid glass rod, known as a preform.

Step 2: Sintering
In this step, the glass rod will be purified by the process known as sintering. Glass rod will be made clear.

Step 3: Elongation
In this process, the glass rod will be elongated to increase the length.

Step 4: Manufacturing Cladding soot
In this step, the Jacketing by Vapour Phase Deposition (JVD) method will be used to manufacture cladding soot efficiently.

Step 5: Drawing into Optical fiber
In this step, the glass rod will be heated to drawn into optical fiber.

Step 6: Proof test for fiber
In this step, the proof test will be done to provide fixed tension to the optical fiber full length and gives the strength to the optical fiber.

Step 7: Coloring
In this step, the fibers will be coated into different color resins.

Step 8: Assembling process of ribbons
In this step, a water blocking tape will be wrapped on the core of the cable.
