Once the design department designs the valves as per the customer’s requirement, it sends it’s designs to the production department. Once the necessary raw materials required to make parts like stem, spool, body and bonnet are ready, the production department starts it’s manufacturing process. The Manufacturing process is done either via Cast Method or Forged Method.

In Casting method, the preshaped material is cleaned, attached to a mount and to a turning machine. As the machine is rotating at a high speed, the single point cutter cuts at the required position. Plating metal is then added to the required portions. The plating metal usually used is copper. Once the plated metal added is polished, the necessary grooving is done. The connection process to the parts of the valve that need to be connected to linkages like pipes, etc is simultaneously added. Each valve will have a different hole requirement and hence depending on the size, holing is also done. The mentioned procedure so far is for the body of the valve. For the seat, a similar process takes place. It needs to be perfect for fit-in attachment purposes. To ensure this, rubber wrapping is provided. Once the body and the seat are made, it is attached to the stem.


The forged process, begins with the cutting of the material to the required dimensions. Then the made parts are forged at high temperature conditions. Then the excess or unwanted parts are trimmed off. Then the sandblasting process happens which ensures a soft and smooth finish for the valves. To further improve the dimensional accuracy of features like holes, length, etc machining is done. Then as a final stage, the valves are made to go a surface level acid treatment. This is the procedure followed to produce valves under the forged process method.

Once the valves are produced they undergo pressure tests, inspections and Quality control tests before they are dispatched.
