Wine and it’s related products are made in places known as Wineries. There are many laws and federal systems regulating the distribution of wine and it’s products. The concern is more concentrated on flow of capital and collection of taxes. A distributor commits to producers, wineries and importers to take their wine and sell it to local dealers, distributors, retailers and restaurants in the areas they serve. Sales people with deep wine knowledge also take place in tasting and sample distribution as part of their sales process. Distributors are responsible for the returned products as well. Distributor margins are usually around thirty percent. Retailers hold inventory, have trained employees, insurance and selling rights. Suppliers are the people responsible for marketing the brand and creating customer awareness. Distributors specialize in logistics and sales. The Distributors are area specific in their approach. They work with their sales and marketing teams to develop their network of retailers.

Sales representatives have the opportunity to work with different retailers. They sell a wide variety of products to the different set of clients and earn their commission accordingly.
